New frequently asked questions (FAQs) and training videos are available for OSHA's respirable crystalline silica in construction standard, the agency announced Aug. 22.

They provide guidance on the crystalline silica standard requirements for employers and workers in construction, with separate sections on the standard's scope, exposure control methods, housekeeping, the required written exposure control plan, medical surveillance, employee training, and record-keeping.
There are also six videos on controlling silica dust in construction available on OSHA's website. The video series covers the use of various construction equipment, including stationary masonry saws, jackhammers, and handheld grinders.
